Sometimes, overwhelmed by the busy pace of life, we don’t notice the splendid spots of nature of divine beauty right next to us… This is what this trip is all about… During the trip we will visit the Žuvintas Biosphere Reserve and the Meteliai Regional Park. We promise, there will be everything: nature, hiking, fun moments of discovering nature, adventures, and even a never-before-tried activity – swinging in the water…
In the morning, we leave for Žuvintas. We head to the Žuvintas Biosphere Reserve. The exhibition in the visitor centre will introduce us to the natural values of Žuvintas and the history of the reserve. We will look at the spectacular panorama of the lake and observe the birds through the telescopes from the observation tower at the top of the building.
After a fun afternoon in Žuvintas, we will head to Dzūkija. We will visit the small but very charming resort settlement of Meteliai. We will climb up to the Meteliai observation tower and admire the stunning panorama. With a local guide, we will have a picnic in natural surroundings, a hike and an interactive game in the Meteliai Regional Park Visitor Centre, during which we will learn about the interesting life of the European pond turtles.
We will observe the vastness of the lake with the help of a monocle and, of course, will try swinging in the water.
We return home full of unforgettable experiences, after a great time.
